Satsang Productions

The essence of Satsang's work is innovative, high-quality (visual and audio) productions. Our team includes trained and experienced cameramen, producers, musicians and sound engineers, as well as writers and researches. The talents are pooled to create films, shorts, images, soundscapes and music, both for our own projecs and for commissioned work.

We believe that broadcast media can touch and move everyone, regardless of their age, education or cultural background. With this in mind, we aim to produce material which can appeal across a broad range of audiences.

Satsang is also an experimental organisation. Apart from the standards, we are also working on new styles of media and performance which redefine the boundaries between production, performance and audience.

Satsang Events

We run monthly club nights for promoting of new and original music. Apart from our resident musicians Yak Attack and Dr Das (ex-member founder of Asian Dub Foundation), Satsang nights feature bands and DJs from many parts of the world, especially South Asia and the Himalayan Region.

We aim for musical shows which are experimental but at the same time accessible and danceable. Regular collaborations and soundclashes, and blending of electronic, acoustic and traditional sounds keep the menu fresh each month.

Apart from live music, Satsang nights frequently include film showings, exhibitions and food, making them a multimedia performane experiene, not just another club.
